I haven’t given up on this blog, but rather channeling my efforts in other areas right now, to increase my online income, update myself on the massive, recent changes in the Google camp (MayDay update) and learn more about everything in general.

I am also happy to say that the MayDay update didn’t hurt my domains, and that you should not listen to doomsday-sayers  claiming it to be the end to all micro niche sites and blogs. Google now rewards your efforts richly upon posting relevant, in context content in your blog or on your website, simply as that. Also, Web 2.0 properties such as Squidoo and Hub Pages seem to attract more followers now. Why should they post their own, unique content on their own domain when they can simply post regurgitated PLR content on a lens or miniwebsite, and still earn shared AdSense revenue with it.

Whether this trend derives from an urgent need for small amounts of money to buy virtual items in online games, or the almost arousing feeling of instant gratification the moment another “money mail” from PayPal arrives in their In-box, I can’t tell. Another and slightly more serious question, though: Is this need for a quick fix making marketers even greedier, is it something we should be worried about?

Today, with little more effort than a mouse click, most any Internet surfers can earn a couple of dollars on the Internet. With task oriented websites like MyLot, Bukisa and other GPT (Get Paid To) sites, what comes next, I wonder.

Although MyLot and Bukisa are nice places for earning a couple of dollars, your main weapon is you, and your knowledge; without at least some knowledge on Internet Marketing including sub-categories, such as SEO, article writing, back-link building, PPC advertising and so on, it is difficult to earn more than pennies!

I help inexperienced marketers almost every day, explaining how to set up a Squidoo lens, write articles, earn their first dollars online e.t.c., and I’ve come to realize that, all they sometimes want is a quick fix; a small amount of money in their PayPal account. Enough to feel they are getting somewhere, and that their efforts still counts.

What if I say that the solution is always within reach for each and everyone, who wants to earn a residual income on the Internet? It is 100% free and not even a product, just advice from yours truly:

1. Educate yourself: read free e-books, watch YouTube tutorials, read EzineArticles content.
2. Stop thinking small; re-program yourself to think success (it takes time, be patient).
3. Stop wasting time with PTC programs. Pick up a simple marketing skill and earn more.
4. Don’t let your friends or relatives put you down by saying “it will never work”. They are clueless.
5. Create an action plan and stick with it (i.e. “Write 1 new article every day, build 5 back-links e.t.c.).

My biggest mistake in the beginning, when I started learning about marketing and it’s numerous sub cultures, was falling for PTC scams. Ouch! Luckily, I used PayPal. Thanks to them most of my money was returned, which is one of the reasons I always recommend PayPal. Sure, they are not perfect, but close enough.

I am working on putting together an e-book that I will give away here on Easy Money Central, hopefully before Christmas. I’ll do it because I keep bumping into frustrated marketing beginners, who are about to give up, because they can’t see any progress at all and wonder if it’s worth it. But hey, sometimes I am one of them!

Some days they feel empty and drained of power, then suddenly and most unexpected, they get a sale! And someone signed up in their GDI downline, they receive a message from a grateful referral, with many thanks for helping them out, e.t.c. These little things helps you keep going, even when you feel like running in one spot.

Good things happen when you are PERSISTENT and DO SOMETHING, even if that something feels like wasting time, such as posting in a forum, adding a new affiliate link in your forum signatures, surfing Traffic Exchange sites for an hour or two, mailing a Safelist. All of these actions can earn money for you when you least expect it!

The secret is to NEVER GIVE UP.

I believe the survey companies that you find in this list send out new surveys on a pretty frequent basis, and that they pay in reasonable time (a couple of days, 1-2 weeks perhaps). My focus is on companies accepting International users and PayPal. Note: Panel members have different opinions, but they all seem to agree that Brand Institute delivers. Their payouts are pretty late, by up to 1-2 months, but they pay pretty well.

In conclusion
Filling out online surveys is but one of many easy ways to earn some extra money online. From what I have observed in the last couple of days, while researching survey companies welcoming International participants and PayPal, I realized it’s not easy to find them. By all means: join them; you will earn enough money to cover a GDI membership, web hosting etc., which is why I brought this up in the first place. A few dollars with little effort.

In my experience, so far, the Cint Panel clients are more eager with sending out new surveys, and they pay almost immediately to my PayPal account upon requesting a payout. I almost wish the rest was like them.

When I joined my first affiliate programs, I did everything wrong: I joined under lazy uplines, I used Traffic Exchange websites and free safe-lists to promote it, yielding poor results. Tissa the Man

I need a break from all the CSS mistakes I did when re-writing a horribly done sales page (it consisted of 1,500+ lines of lame 90′s code. It now contains around 400 lines of code, and the graphics files are optimized by 50% as well) Phew!

I must admit, I can be slow sometimes. I had to join GDI two times before I found a sponsor who cared enough about me to want to help me get started. My sponsor told me how to promote GDI and had me subscribe to her newsletter. All of that was great, but I just didn’t have any success. Like, any at all. On top of already being frustrated, I was attacked by brutal savages in a forum when promoting GDI playing by the rules.

Okay, they were not that brutal.. and it was only one person who snarled at me.. but I was at that point psyched out and what happened next caught me by surprise: I burned out completely and stopped everyhing I was doing for about two months. This was a result of not having a clear aim and purpose, only jumping from one target to the next and trying to make money somewhere in-between.

When I recovered I slowly gained my interest in IM again. My GDI sponsor had helped with sending me traffic in the beginning, and I had a couple of active referrals in my downline, so it was not that bad. But, as I started promoting it again, it was right back to square one, with no results. Aargh! I tried ClixSense’s GDI promotion, which basically is just another useless link rotator, same kind of neat trick all the useless GDI Super-Uber-Ultra-Powerful Downline-builder teams use. You know those with websites from 2005′ish, that’s never been updated since, but newbies who got caught in their headlight roam the web desperately trying to score a referral. They fail and spend the rest of eternity haunting IM forums, moaning and whining about how much GDI sucks, but that is another story, one that I don’t feel like writing.

So, what to do? Promoting GDI sucks, because everybody already knows about it!

The solution is so simple, and many of the most successful GDI affiliates have used it as their main weapon for years now, but there are still a lot of clueless GDI newbies out there, and I used to be one of them until recently. So, what’s the secret sauce? It is painfully obvious really, but here goes:
