The DNS update went well and everything seems to be fine, at least 98%. The Blogroll links were not included when I exported, so I’ll have to do a bit of digging in the old files to see if I can find it (if the owner of an exchange link reads this and is worried: fear not, I will have your link back up in a couple of hours). The theme, iNove, is temporary, but I have been saying that for a while now.. it is pretty nice, after all.

The Host Gator server is blistering fast. Browsing and installing plug-ins and themes directly from the admin panel was easier than ever before and all of the files were installed in seconds, whereas with the free hosting it would either take a while or not work at all. Even the permalinks setting kicked in immediately. Sweet.

It looks like this can be the beginning of a long and healthy relationship.

I then had to re-build the blog using a two week old back-up. Unfortunately, I chose to go back to ByetHost. It suffice to say, it was not a very wise decision.

Sorry about the blunt language, I still have MMORPG games fresh in mind, even though I stopped playing a while back. When my blog was deleted by the previous web host (their name shall remain unspoken), I had to upload it somewhere else, and so I went back to another company, one that unfortunately is known to be notoriously slow when using their free accounts. I will upgrade, but most likely not with this host; it is simply not good enough.

So, what will I do about that? I will install WP Super Cache one of the next days. It is a powerful tweak which will hopefully improve the overall performance quite a bit, such as faster loading time for pages. I do know which web host company I will be using when I upgrade to a paid hosting service. They have excellent reputation and fast servers. When I get to that point, I will also introduce my new Web Directory.

As for my article marketing endeavors, I will decide on one of two ghost writer teams in total, on my list, today. Then I will submit my first order to them. And to think, I wrote articles on how to stop procrastinating. Oh, the irony.
