Being an avid IM forum user, I enjoy discussions regarding ways to earn money online. Other than article and affiliate marketing, one of the most popular income venues are AdSense advertising on your blog or website. If you are an AdSense Publisher and you haven’t kept up with Google’s rule updates since 2008 or early 2009, it’s time to ask yourself: is your AdSense account in danger?

Unfortunately, and I keep seeing this: most AdSense Publishers seem to not bother reading the T.O.S. in their AdSense Publisher account, and a lot of them are consistently breaking one or more of their rules, which in turn will have their account flagged and banned, eventually.

I don’t want you to become one of them, so I decided to provide a list of warning signs, things to look out for, what matters most in order to avoid having your AdSense Publisher account closed. When banned from AdSense or AdWords, it’s for life. I have heard it is more like two or three years, then maybe they will accept you back, but why take any chances?

So, is your AdSense account in danger? Below I sum up ten reasons why AdSense can have your account banned, then I’ll go on and explain why. Ultimately, it is up to you to protect yourself. I put together this list to help AdSense Publishers avoid getting banned, although it is up to you to update yourself regularly on their T.O.S. The Privacy Policy rule was added in 2009, and thousands of Publishers still ignoring it, are at risk of losing their accounts.

Ten common reasons AdSense would ban your account:

Your site lacks a Privacy Policy link on every page with AdSense.

Your site contains excessive amount of abusive language.

Your site provides adult content.

Your web pages contain no actual text content, only advertising.

You installed a large number of MFA sites on the same IP address.

You placed an AdSense block beneath the page title, Xfactor style.

You posted a link to a blog or website in a forum, asking for advice.

You ask or suggest that your visitors may click the AdSense links.

Your ex, friend or a close relative clicked your AdSense links.

Disgruntled part time Google whore employee reports your site out of spite.

How to get your AdSense account back if it was banned?

1. Your site lacks a Privacy Policy link on every page with AdSense.

Solution: SerpRank.com offers a free online tool for creating a customized and ready to use Personal Privacy file. Add the text to a new WP page and use the Exclude Pages plug-in to hide the visible Page link, or create a new blog post (Blogger.com) and add a link to the post in your Blogger footer.

2. Your site contains excessive amount of profanity & abusive language.

Solution: Profanity, racial slur, personal attacks and hatred on your blog or website means a one-way ticket out of the AdSense program, so simply don’t do it. If you have to be a web bully, don’t use AdSense.

3. Your site provides adult content.

Solution: Frustrated AdSense Publisher complains he’s been banned, but is innocent. Others have a look at his website and find pornographic content and/or links to other websites with it. If you are going to publish adult content on your website, use another advertiser, Black Label Ads for instance.

4. Your web pages contain no actual text content, only advertising.

Solution: Google have always put emphasis on the importance of providing good quality content on your website. If you only add a page title followed by an AdSense block and then a couple of lines worth with typically auto-spun text, you are practically asking for a ban. Write your own unique articles and content. Google is catching up with any kind of spun text content, it is not worth the risk.

5. You install a large number of MFA sites on the same IP address.

Solution: The more AdSense blogs or websites you install on the same IP address, the bigger footprint it leaves. Even though this does not mean you are violating their T.O.S. it is an unnecessary risk. As a rule of thumb, I would install no more than five to ten domains using the same IP address. I use Host Gator, and in addition to offering affordable high quality web hosting and stellar customer support, they also offer Managed VPS hosting, with which you can scale up when your AdSense grows, with up to 32 different IP addresses.

6. You placed an AdSense block beneath the page title, Xfactor style.

Solution: Xfactor’s “Adsense Masters Course” is a popular, zero hype blueprint on how to build AdSense websites producing a high AdSense CTR, but even he advise against copying his AdSense web template, with emphasis on the large AdSense block glued beneath the page title, making it look as if the title introduces the AdSense. To avoid risking a ban because of this, add two or three lines of text between the title and the AdSense block.

7. You posted a link to a blog or website in a forum, asking for advice.

Solution: Sometimes you seek someone else’s opinion on your blog or website design and AdSense placement, but before sharing your domain URL in a forum, or anywhere at all, ask yourself: “am I willing to risk having my AdSense account banned because someone might click-bomb the ads out of spite?” This is exactly what happened in a forum I frequent; someone posted his AdSense blog’s URL to gather some advice and opinions from fellow forum members. Another member posted a disturbing response suggesting he had “helped” him getting AdSense clicks. Upon checking his blog, I found his ads were offline.

Never share the URL for your AdSense blog or website with anyone. If you want advice on ad placement and such, post screenshots. Edit out details that otherwise could reveal the location.

8. You ask or suggest that your visitors may click the AdSense links.

Solution: I hope this was too obvious for you before reading it here, but to many Publishers it still isn’t. Even if you never meant to ask visitors to your blog or website, to click the AdSense links, Google’s web spiders can crawl your site and read something as an incentive to click the AdSense ads. If in doubt, don’t write it.

9. Your ex, friend or a close relative clicked your AdSense links.

Another common and unfortunate situation. Say you mention your AdSense endeavours to your Mother, and she is utterly impressed. When doing house chores later that day, she glances into your room and sees your AdSense site on the screen. She doesn’t totally understand how this AdSense-thing works, although she grasped the part about you earning money every time someone clicks the links. Of course, she’s eager to help out…

Or, your ex is still mad after the breakup, and he or she decides to take revenge by click-bombing your AdSense links. Or it was a colleague, who hates you, someone at school, e.t.c. Never share your AdSense URLs!

10. Disgruntled part time Google whore employee reports your site out of spite.

If you wonder what it’s like to get paid by Google for manually reviewing blogs and websites, do a common Google search. What do you see? Ugly MFA sites and parked domains. Site reviewers are only human, so don’t expect them to patiently cope with all the nastiness thrown at them every day. There is a chance they sometimes flag sites out of spite, but I very much doubt they attack those with at least semi-decent content.

What can you do to prevent this? That’s easy: provide useful content like any other website, that was not purely made for AdSense. Put some effort into it and give it a purpose, and you are safe. In theory.

11. How to get your AdSense account back if it was banned?

Solution: The short answer is: you don’t. But, as I have never fancied the “it’s impossible” mantra, I refuse to say that AdSense will not remove a ban once they have gone that far. First of all, you must contact them as soon as possible, using the information in the e-mail they sent you.

Aaron Greenspan had his Publisher account banned by AdSense, and he write a two-part story on his experience with it. Definitely an interesting read: Why I sued Google (and won)

If you have lost your AdSense Publisher account, and you truly believe it was not in violation of their T.O.S., visit this blog which provides a thorough set of step-by-step instructions that should at least give you a better chance of being reinstated by the company: How to get your disabled AdSense account back.

AdSense is NOT the ONLY solution

Becoming an AdSense Publisher is a nice way to create a cash flow for re-investing into own business, but relying on AdSense income alone is not very wise. Establish multiple income streams and prepare yourself for when the day comes, that your AdSense Publisher account is gone.

CPA networks such as Adscend Media are reliable and provide a wide range of CPA offers for blogs and websites. When building AdSense sites, have CPA networks in mind. AdSense sites can be easily converted to utilize CPA offers, in the unfortunate event that your AdSense Publisher account gets banned.

Feel free to compare it with my original located here. It takes a while to re-write articles with this amount of textual content, so you would want to keep it at 350-500 words per article. I just get carried away sometimes … I spent hours with P.A.R. preparing the original for spinning and now, basically all I have to do is click a button and tell P.A.R. to produce up to 1,000 unique articles all based on one and the same original, passing Copyscape easily and done in mere seconds.

Power Article Rewriter gives you a 15 days free trial period, so download it and give it a try. The current price is $67, but I have found offers as low as $35, which significantly reduces the price and makes it totally worth it.

P.A.R. is not 100% perfect; I had to remove one or two lines at the end of my original article, as it got a bit messed up every time I rotated it, but other than that and one funky quotation mark replacement, I have had no problems to speak of. This is an excellent tool for spinning articles. If you know of any better tools provided at no cost or affordable, feel free to add a comment.

Also have a look at the free Easy Article Rewriter, which is a feature limited online tool but none the less a great timesaver when re-writing your articles.

Disclaimer: I am not an affiliate for this produc, I just wanted to share it with you because it works well.

——————————————————–

Article title: “How to make money from home”

With this article, you will see how easy it can be to attract traffic hits to your links and learn how to make money from home with articles. When it comes to advertising on the Internet, you have free and paid methods. With free advertising you will not have to worry about PPC campaigns losing to your competition.

Most ambitious Internet Marketers want to know how to make money from home without having to invest a significant amount of money. The truth is, it is not at all difficult to get started at almost no cost at all. Instead of taking chances spending hundreds of dollars on unsuccessful PPC campaigns, start with free advertising and a cheap affiliate membership that pays itself, then you have one less thing to worry about.

After a while you will probably want to upgrade to PPC advertising and such, chances are nonetheless you will want to continue using free advertising as well, as it is just too good to simply dispose. As for how to make money from home, what you need is to write down a to-do list and follow it almost religiously to become successful and earn a decent income. Follow your action plan, even when you feel drained or uninspired.

Internet Marketing is about inspiration and devotion. You have to be devoted to succeed and make money, and even if you feel like not doing anything some days, pull yourself together and do it anyway. Be determined and you will be rewarded in the long run. The productive online gurus are ambitious goal pursuers. They started with educating themselves on how to make money from home and never stopped driving themselves to make their goals.

By assigning realistic goals and following your action plan, you too can create a residual income. It is you who determine whether or not you will succeed, not how much money you can afford to invest. Download and read the e-book titled “Mind your mind“, which is about positive thinking.

Create your own action plan. It should be assignments that are not too difficult for you to do on a daily basis, i.e. composing and submitting a few articles to some of the hottest directories. Stick With the steps in your plan every day, and you will notice a gain in the traffic to your affiliate links. FreeTrafficSystem is good for building more back-links. If you maintain a WordPress blog you can use their free unique content to gain better standings with the search engines and pull more traffic to your web log.

When you submit your own articles to FTS, you receive 7% more backlinks in return. I suggest at least a free membership with FreeTrafficSystem. You understand by now that article marketing is a very powerful tool to create an income on the Internet and takes some effort on your part. Next you want to pull traffic hits to your multiple income streams links by using your articles. Now I’ll show you how to make money from home using affiliate programs such as ACME People Search.

In the second step in your ACME People Search account, the cheapest choice is a GDI account at $10 per month, which gives you a .ws domain name with hosting included, up to ten e-mail accounts with 1GB storage each and a complete business opportunity. Use your articles to advertise your ACME People Search affiliate link. You may wonder how to make money from home when you are only promoting the ACME affiliate link.

When I advertised my GDI page, I received limited success if any, however after positing my first article on ACME People Search, I had many sign-ups with ACME People Search and two sign-ups with GDI. All due to one article advertising ACME People Search, submitted to one directory. Articles provide an excellent way to earn a residual income online, if you wonder how to make money from home.

Your GDI membership is ideal for promoting ACME People Search, which again is perfect for promoting GDI. Put the ACME People Search engine on your own .ws domain provided by GDI, and you have multiple affiliate income streams with it. Pick a SEO-friendly domain name when signing up with GDI, i.e. mine is Globesearch.ws. Drive traffic to your ACME People Search engine page, as every time they use it you will earn affiliate money.

The key is to be persistent; Submitting one or a few articles and then get bored will not yield any substantial results. Stay with your action plan, carry on writing and publishing your articles, and your earnings will increase. Do not forget SEO when putting together your articles. GDI and ACME People Search will certainly contribute when building a nice income even if you are new with Internet Marketing.

Write new unique articles, spin and post to the most popular article directories (GoArticles, EzineArticles, Squidoo e.t.c.), tag it with social bookmarks and you’ll have laser-targeted traffic from the search engines very soon.Continue writing new and unique articles that you rewrite using tools such as Power Article Rewriter, upload your articles to directories, utilize social bookmarking services like Onlywire and your articles outbound links will attract a lot of free and highly targeted traffic from all major search engines.

Here’s to your success.

The idea is to make it easier to find free Internet Marketing tools that are easy to use and helps you doing a better job. There are already too many free e-books, tools and other products available everywhere online, and it is confusing to say the least.

I believe many IM beginners drop out after being overwhelmed by all the free information. Information Overload is the first major challenge that they must overcome.

If you have any suggestions for new links in this section, don’t hesitate to send me a message and I will have a look at it. Consider it a free back-link from my PR3 blog

Links I won’t accept:

PTC, PTR and other “get paid to” programs.

Matrix and high yield investment schemes.

Affiliate links.

Anything porn or sex – related.

Link exchanges.

I will continue adding links to free and useful IM products meanwhile. Enjoy!

It’s not a secret that the more content you have, the morel likely you are to work up search engine traffic from longer searches. Although, in fact, you might be targeting one or two of the more popular keywords, more content will allow you to start collecting hits for longer search strings that aren’t as common. If to make closer investigation, those add up and provide a great deal of residual value to the content. It is important to note that since 2004, there’s a growing discussion about this whole issue and what it really means in terms of site traffic. Fortunately, as far as the issue is concerned, those involved in that discussion have started using a pithy name for the phenomena, the “long tail.”

According to Wikipedia: “The long tail is the colloquial name for a long-known feature of statistical distributions … The feature is also known as “heavy tails”, “power-law tails” or “Pareto tails”… In these distributions, a high-frequency or high-amplitude population is followed by a low-frequency or low-amplitude population which gradually “tails off”. In many cases the … long tail…can cumulatively outnumber or outweigh the initial portion of the graph, such that in aggregate they comprise the majority.”

It goes without saying that if we graph a market, we have a body, representing the “mass market” and then a long trailing tail of smaller niches with correspondingly smaller populations. However, we’ll notice that the long tail actually contains just as many, if not more, potential buyers than the bigger “body.” Moreover, we should recognize that most sales efforts are concentrated on the body. The thing is that the competition for the interest of the body is much more intense than is the competition for various points along the long tail. It’s not a secret that long tail theory, by that name or any other, has been one of the driving forces behind internet marketing for some time now. By the way, people in the IM community have been doing their market research in hopes of finding potentially lucrative smaller markets that one can mine for profits more efficiently than the massive area of the body.

It’s important to keep in mind that if you take a popular keyword, log the searches made containing that keyword, and graph the results you are going to get something a graph similar to the one we just discussed. We can safely assume that there is going to be a mass of searches just for the keyword and obvious 2-3 word phrases using the keyword. As far as my personal experience can be taken into account, then you are going to have a sudden decline for searches using other strings that will result in a long, flowing tail. So, actually, you can fight for that traffic in the body, but it’s going to take some work. As you may be aware of, there’s a lot of competition in the body, so you can also start mining the long tail for traffic.

One of the best ways, without any doubt, is content–and lots of it. In addition, it should be also added that if you hire someone to handle your SEO content writing and to generate a series of pieces on “widgets,” that content is assuredly going to produce strings containing the very kind of things for which those long tail searchers are looking. But remember, there’s an additional bonus – even if you are not sold on the long tail idea, the content itself still helps with respect to marketing to the larger body. As to this, there is no forced compromise: well-written content will serve both needs simultaneously.

Seo content writing

The other thing that needs to be added is that in the long tail of keyword searches, the great value comes from having hundreds or thousands of unexampled , valuable content pages written on a niche subject. In addition, the millions of completely unique search terms that hit the engines each day help to bring in traffic that a purely ‘designed’ strategy could never receive. It’s simply a matter of how much content is on your site. To sum up, the more you post to your blog the longer tail (keyword-wise) your site will have. It’s not that you should post a bunch of crap posts to a blog, but a blog that has 1000 posts will have a much longer tail than a blog with 100 posts. That is why most blogs, according to the common practice, don’t make a whole lot of money for the first 6-12 months. In fact, it takes a lot of time to write plenty content that a blog starts to have a really long tail.
