I need a break from all the CSS mistakes I did when re-writing a horribly done sales page (it consisted of 1,500+ lines of lame 90′s code. It now contains around 400 lines of code, and the graphics files are optimized by 50% as well) Phew!

I must admit, I can be slow sometimes. I had to join GDI two times before I found a sponsor who cared enough about me to want to help me get started. My sponsor told me how to promote GDI and had me subscribe to her newsletter. All of that was great, but I just didn’t have any success. Like, any at all. On top of already being frustrated, I was attacked by brutal savages in a forum when promoting GDI playing by the rules.

Okay, they were not that brutal.. and it was only one person who snarled at me.. but I was at that point psyched out and what happened next caught me by surprise: I burned out completely and stopped everyhing I was doing for about two months. This was a result of not having a clear aim and purpose, only jumping from one target to the next and trying to make money somewhere in-between.

When I recovered I slowly gained my interest in IM again. My GDI sponsor had helped with sending me traffic in the beginning, and I had a couple of active referrals in my downline, so it was not that bad. But, as I started promoting it again, it was right back to square one, with no results. Aargh! I tried ClixSense’s GDI promotion, which basically is just another useless link rotator, same kind of neat trick all the useless GDI Super-Uber-Ultra-Powerful Downline-builder teams use. You know those with websites from 2005′ish, that’s never been updated since, but newbies who got caught in their headlight roam the web desperately trying to score a referral. They fail and spend the rest of eternity haunting IM forums, moaning and whining about how much GDI sucks, but that is another story, one that I don’t feel like writing.

So, what to do? Promoting GDI sucks, because everybody already knows about it!

The solution is so simple, and many of the most successful GDI affiliates have used it as their main weapon for years now, but there are still a lot of clueless GDI newbies out there, and I used to be one of them until recently. So, what’s the secret sauce? It is painfully obvious really, but here goes:

Some of them can become super-affiliates and earn a lot of money for you. Also, your referrals are only human, they can get frustrated just like you and me when nothing seems to work. Encourage them, give them some fresh tips and ideas, be a friend. It’s not just about the money, but helping others as well.

Write articles, submit it, build back-links and ping social websites, and when you put enough effort into this, you will see new referrals in your ACME People Search every day, and sooner or later you will get 5+ GDI sign-ups every week, which means $400 extra from GDI every month. Use some of that money on paid back-linking services and link juice, and spend at least $100 on a PPC campaign that you continue tweaking every couple of days to make sure it yields best possible results.

This is a rather slow process. After reading about GoArticles in the Warrior Forum, I wanted to see if it was true that it can kick your links all the way up on the first page in Google. It actually did; An article I wrote and submitted to GoArticles, using highly competitive keywords, reached the #1 spot on the first page in Google after less than three days after I had submitted my article. It only lasted for a few days, but it was interesting none the less, and I want to show you how to do it.

You will be submitting to GoArticles, which is a PR 6 article directory. Everybody can submit their articles there and have it published immediately.

Follow these easy steps:

1. Research a few different niches (i.e. pet training, weight loss).
2. Decide which key words to use, i.e. “3 easy ways to outrun a stalker”.
3. Write the article using 250-550 words. Make it catchy and easy to read.
4. Add suitable affiliate links to a product or service, perhaps an e-book at ClickBank.
5. Register a free user account and submit your article to GoArticles.

If you did everything right, your keywords (“3 easy ways to outrun a stalker”) could very well be on the first page in Google in the next few days.

Like I said, this is only a temporary solution. If you want long term results, build a website or establish a blog like this and post fresh and unique content to it. For now, try writing that article and submit it to GoArticles, then track your results and see what happens.
