With the Christmas Holidays and New Year celebration over with, it is time to start earning money online in 2010. On that note, I wanted to remind you of James Reilly’s Giveaway 2010. Launching on January 12th and ending on January 26th, a slew of IM products will be up for grabs.
Another Giveaway I would recommend: The New Year Giveaway. Use these opportunities to download solid Internet Marketing and SEO products for free while it’s still available.
Easy Money Central with PR 4
Not that PR means everything, but it was nevertheless nice to see that Google has decided to
reward this blog with PR 4. If you are looking to build back-links to your own domain, you are still welcome to add valid and in-context comments. I still get a lot of meaningless one-line flirts and Russian spam. Please stay on topic and I’ll be happy to add your comment.
New Tools for a New Project
During the Holidays I invested in some new tools to maximize my efforts, such as the new Social Bookmarking wonder boy “BookmarkWiz” (v1.13 was out yesterday) and Xfactor’s success blueprint: “Micro Niche Adsense Course“. I will post an update with my hands-on experience with these products later.
Earning money online in 2010:
I am happy to say that I am taking action on my goals for 2010! After doing some research yesterday, I registered a domain name with strong keywords in it, app. 10,000 searches per month and almost no competition. If everything goes as planned, it will rank #1 – 3 in Google by the end of January.
Not putting all eggs in one basket
I do not plan on becoming dependent on the Adsense income, simply because I feel that I cannot trust the company. I am not suggesting they are evil, but way too many honest web masters have lost their income when their system decided they were breaking a rule.
As a precaution I will build CPA offer websites in addition to the Adsense sites. That way, if the original plan should fail at a point, I can convert everything to CPA using numerous different CPA networks (again: do not put all eggs in one basket; join more than just one affiliate network in case some of them turn their back on you).
Why not WordPress?
You may have noticed how I use the word “website” rather than “WordPress“; there are several reasons I use websites for this, and my main reasons are:
- Web templates are much more cost-effective on shared web hosting servers
- WP depends on complicated code, whereas a HTML template is simple, clean and efficient
- You can often achieve better SEO with a HTML template
- It is easier for HTML newbies to edit a web template than WP template files
My goal for 2010
This is a long term project for earning money online in 2010 and onward, and my main goal is to earn $1,500+ monthly from my Adsense sites by December this year.
Brave or stupid? Time will tell!

I have been doing some research on making money with adsense and came across your post. I was not sure that adsense is the way to go as opposed to affiliate marketing but the xfactor course seems worth a try
Hi Mary,
Adsense is but one of many, many ways to earn money online and I always recommend to treat it as such. Building an income with Adsense alone is risky, considering how Google sometimes ban publishers accounts for whatever reason produced by their automated system. They rarely respond to the unfortunate publisher’s complaints, although it is possible to file a small claims suit, if they kick you out for no good reason.
If it is of any comfort: as long as you stay 100% white hat (not breaking any of Google’s T.O.S., terms of service) the risk of getting banned is low and many Adsense publishers have been earning a solid income for several years with no issues whatsoever.
As for CPA networks, join Adscend Media and PepperJam for starters; they can be trusted to treat their publishers well and pay on time. Also visit the Warrior Forum for more tips and information on CPA marketing, with recommendations, reviews and more.
The “Xfactor template” is pretty easily recognized (I bet you have seen it several times already), and John (Xfactor) recommends tweaking it a bit, adding your own style. He also explains in the e-book the Zen of effective color schemes and ad positioning, writing the content for your Adsense sites, and so on. The e-book is easy to read and comprehend, and it definitely helps me get started with building an income with Adsense.
You can find all of the information required to get started, in various forums. The e-book makes it easier to read, with all of the information in one place and based on his personal experience with earning a decent income with Adsense for many years.
Here’s to your success!
Hi i’ve been hearing about this product but also heard SEO Elite is better by a few people so i’m undecided, anyone have any experience with both of these?
Hi Bret,
I do not have any experience with SEO Elite, but Market Samurai does the same, and then some. SEO Elite is $47 per month, whereas Market Samurai is a one-time fee of $149, I believe, and it has received praise from many marketers for helping them find strong “buyer keywords”. Of course, now that I wanted to point you to the MS website, it looks like someone has re-routed their domain. I hope it is a temporary issue, and the link is MarketSamurai.com. The original website will most likely be back soon
I personally believe you can’t really go wrong with either, and that in the end it is a matter of personal taste. Market Samurai does a lot of different things, maybe too many for the developer team to continue improving the core elements of the software, but you get a 30 or 40 free trial period when you download it, which is more than enough to familiarize yourself with it.
Great blog!i really enjoyed reading your posts.i’ve also bookmarked your feed to stay in touch with your news.
Online marketing is not just for the latest product, creating a website or for allowing customers purchase items ongoing. Online marketing can likewise include how a business owner can employ a work team. The number of people who are taking computers, web design, and learning to host websites proves just how booming online marketing can make the employer, the employees, and the independent contractors. And with a sufficient Internet savvy team, your business earnings can increase too.
Very nice post. Do you accept guest writers?
Hi there Travis,
I appreciate your comment, and I would welcome your contributions as a guest writer; please leave a message on the Contact page, and I will set up a new user account for you. You are of course free to use your own affiliate links in your posts as long as it is Internet Marketing related (marketing, tools, earning money, copy writing, e.t.c.).
I dunno if it’s just me but it seems like your site isn’t working that well in my browser.
Hi Chris,
Well, I have checked with Opera, FireFox, Internet Explorer, chrome and K-Melon, and it works well with all of those. I plan on replacing this theme with one with better code later, either way (Flexibility 2 is great, but a bit too flexible for my taste).
